Norma Bryant, 85, Hays, died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at Hays Good Samaritan Center.

She was born Jan. 19, 1928, in Florence to E.B. "Bo" and Foy (Smith) Simms.

She married Albert Bryant on March 2, 1945, in Hays. He preceded her in death. She was a homemaker as well as helping operate Bryant Trailer of Sale & Parks with her husband.

She was a member of First Baptist Church for more than 60 years, and she was in American Baptist Women for several years.

Survivors include a son, Ernie Bryant and wife, Pam, Hays; a daughter, Lori Chand, Amarillo, Texas; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Neil and Billy Simms; and a sister, Maxine Fletcher.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 20th and Pine; burial in Mount Allen Cemetery, Hays.

Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service Friday at the funeral home in Hays.

Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church of Hays in care of the funeral home.
