Norma J. Weigel, 69, Hays, died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, at Wheatland Nursing Center, Russell.

She was born Dec. 7, 1944, in Victoria to Alfred G. and Mary Anna (Hammerschmidt) Weigel. She attended Victoria High School and has lived in Hays since 1968.

She was a certified dietary manager at St. Anthony Hospital andHays Medical Center for 37 years and worked part-time at Club 3 in Hays for many years.

She enjoyed playing shuffleboard.

Survivors include five sisters, Theresa Klaus, and Betty Denning and husband, Dennis, all of Victoria, Twila Weigel and friend, Bill Plante, Hill City, Agnes Weigel, Hays, and Estella Weigel, Salina; two nephews, Jan Klaus and wife, Jo, Hays, Terry Klaus and wife, Peggy, Victoria; a niece, Alicia Kelley and husband, Mike, Alta Vista; two great-nephews, Blake and Trenton Klaus; two great-nieces, Alyssa Dechant and husband, Josh, Kaley Klaus; and a great-great-niece, Marley Dechant.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Thomas Weigel; a sister, Kathleen Weigel; and a nephew, Justin Denning.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Cline's Mortuary of Hays, 1919 East 22nd, Hays, KS 67601; inurnment in St. Fidelis Cemetery, Victoria.

Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, both at the mortuary. A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Sunday, followed by a rosary, both at the mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to the Norma Weigel family to be decided at a later date.
