Ola Mae Stafford

Ola Mae Stafford, 97, Hays, died Monday, April 15, 2013, at Ellis Good Samaritan Center.

She was born April 2, 1916, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Clarence and Mary (Fine) Sanders. She married Glenn N. Stafford on March 21, 1946, in Walters, Okla. He preceded her in death Nov. 18, 2001. She was a teacher and a homemaker.

Survivors include two sons, Donovan Stafford and wife, Lois, and Thomas Stafford and wife, Shelley, all of Hays; a daughter, Susanne Sanders, Florida; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Lee Sanders and Billy Sanders; and a sister, Ida Pearl Sanders.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at High Plains Baptist Church, Hays; burial will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Fort Hays Memorial Gardens.

Friends can call from 2 to 3:15 p.m. Thursday at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.

Memorials are suggested in Ola Mae's memory to Bethesda Place, Hays.
