Opal B. "Peggy" Mason, 94, Phillipsburg, formerly of Stockton, died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, at Phillips County Hospital, Phillipsburg.

She was born Feb. 3, 1918, in the Cactus community near Logan to Ralph and Nellie (Laughlin) Miner.

She married John Mason on April 15, 1939. He preceded her in death Dec. 31, 2009.

Survivors include a son, Dennis Mason, Goddard; two daughters, Delores Rubottom, Stockton, and Patty Northup, Phillipsburg; two brothers, Don Miner, Red Cloud, Neb., and Lawrence Miner, Denton; a sister, Melva Jean Quillen, Pueblo, Colo.; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Eugene Mason.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Smith-Moore-Overlease Funeral Home, Stockton; burial in Stockton City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Nova Theatre in care of the funeral home.
