Orval D. Finch, 89, Mannford, Okla., formerly of Plainville, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at Oklahoma State University Medical Center, Tulsa, Okla.

He was born Jan. 28, 1923, in Ellis County to Gaven "G.L." and Pearl Rebecca (Clair) Finch.

He married Irma Pauline Doty on June 4, 1949, in Natoma. She preceded him in death in 1984. He was a U.S. veteran, serving during World War II.

Survivors include a son, Eugene "Gene" Finch, Mannford; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Steven Finch.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Christian Church, Plainville; burial in Natoma Cemetery, with military rites by Fort Riley Honor Guard.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Plumer-Overlease Funeral Home, Plainville.
