Patrick 'Pat' Aloys Hitt

Patrick "Pat" Aloys Hitt, 41, Pratt, died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012, at his home.

He was born Dec. 3, 1970, in Pratt to Era Eugene "Gene" and Rita Elizabeth (Struckhoff) Hitt.

He married Cheri Terese Bata on Feb. 10, 1996, in Pratt. He was an agent for the Hitt Agency-Farm Bureau Financial Services and owned and operated South Central Pest Control.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, and an EMT-I for Township 12 Rescue and Fire Department.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Jamie Walter Hitt, Pratt; a daughter, EmaLee Alise Hitt, Denver; his mother, Pratt; three brothers, Ray Hitt, Pratt, Joe Hitt, Wichita, and Jeff Hitt, Garden Plain; four sisters, Leanne Irsik, Lenexa, Rhonda Westerhaus and Becky Eastes, both of Pratt, and Nancy Schwarz, St. Angelus; and his two beloved dogs, Indy the Underdog and Maggie the Magnificent IV.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Pratt; burial in Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt.

Visitation will be until 6 p.m. Friday at Larrison Mortuary, Pratt.

A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to Sacred Heart School or Pratt High School band in care of the mortuary.
