Paul E. Brassfield DMV, 77, Hill City, died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, at Hays Medical Center.

He was born Oct. 30, 1935, in rural Graham County to Christopher Colin and Mary Elizabeth (Delameter) Brassfield. He was a graduate of Kansas State University of Veterinary Medicine.

He was a veterinarian.

Survivors include two brothers, Christopher Brassfield Jr., Montana and Irl Brassfield, Bogue; and two sisters, Christina Burkenbine, Heppner, Ore., and Velma Smith, Bellvue, Wash.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Hill City; burial in Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Hill City.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Stinemetz Funeral Home, Hill City.

Memorials are suggested to Jayhawker Roundup Rodeo in care of the funeral home.
