Paul Eugene Pruitt, 82, Miltonvale, died Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, at Salina Regional Health Center.
He was born June 3, 1927, in rural Barnard to Ward and Velma Tromble Pruitt. He graduated eighth grade from Rocky Point Country School and Barnard High School in 1945.
He married Clarice Widen Carlgren in 1959. He ran the N.F.O. hog buying station for 12 1/2 years at Concordia, Wamego and helped start one in Green. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; four sons, Mike Pruitt, Max Pruitt and Jerry Carlgren, all of Miltonvale, and Don Pruitt, Victoria; a daughter, Cathy Warkentin, Miltonvale; two sisters, Merna Lee Wester, Superior, Neb., and Sue Gustafson, Concordia; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Miltonvale Wesleyan Church; burial in Sulfur Springs Cemetery, rural Miltonvale.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with family present from 5 to 8 p.m. at Nutter Mortuary Chapel, Concordia.
Memorials are suggested to First Christian Church, Miltonvale, or Gideon's International in care of the mortuary.
