Pearl E. Atkisson, 85, Norton, formerly of Stockton, died Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at Norton County Hospital, Norton.

She was born June 13, 1927, near Fort Morgan, Colo., to John Robert and Lola Madge (Stauffer) Prettyman.

She married Delbert Stone. She later married Robert E. Atkisson on April 12, 1962, in Rooks County. He preceded her in death March 24, 2003.

Survivors include two sons, Ivan Stone, Axtell, Neb., and Robert S. Atkisson, Stockton; six daughters, Mary Lou Atkisson, Norton, Verna Byerly, Great Bend, Sharon James, Axtell, Neb., Donna Price, Salina, Diana Peacock, Ada, and Pam Hollman, Indianapolis; a brother, Robert Prettyman, Hastings, Neb.; other daughters, Susan Bedore, Kirwin, Barbara Morris, Johnson, and Pat Johnson, Hill City; 44 grandchildren; and 48 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Gayle Stone and Dennis Stone; and a grandson.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Plumer-Overlease Funeral Home, Stockton; burial in Stockton City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice in care of the funeral home.
