Peggy Ann Giebler, 62, Gardner, formerly of Hays, Russell, Salina and Hebron, Ky., died Monday, Dec. 7, 2009, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born Feb. 28, 1947, in Geary, Okla., to Claude and Dora Dale Clifton Branch.

She married John J. Giebler on Feb. 27, 1965, in Hays. He preceded her in death in 2000.

She enjoyed sewing, gardening, decorating and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include a son, Craig Giebler, Gardner, and John Giebler II, Florence, Ky.; two daughters, Michelle Ohman. Gardner, and Tina Sudduth, Independence, Mo.; her mother, Salina; two brothers, Jack Branch, Mississippi, and Leroy Branch, Topeka; four sisters, Bea Shaffer, Cantonment, Fla., Claudetta Lawhorne, Texas, Recie Ehrlich, Salina, and Leota Anderson, Lawrence; seven grandchildren; 4 1/2 great-grandchildren; and her beloved dogs, Phoebe and Missy.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Cremation has taken place.

Memorials are suggested to Lawrence Memorial Hospital in care of Bruce Funeral Home, Gardner.
