Otillia "Tillie" M. Schmidt Peintner, 87, St. John, formerly of Ellinwood, Stafford and Pawnee Rock, died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012, at Kenwood Plaza in St. John.

She was born Dec. 6, 1924, in Hays to Joseph and Otillia Staab Schmidt.

She married Donald Peintner on Aug. 17, 1943, in Spearville. He preceded her in death May 16, 2005.

Survivors include three sons and five daughters: Mary Kay Queen, Manasquan, N.J., Thomas Peintner, Leavenworth, Donita Fisher, St. John, George Peintner, Duncan, Okla., Gemma Austin, Stafford, John Peintner, Wichita, Theresa Urban, Wichita, and Patricia Teichmann, Keller, Texas; a sister, Joann Hough, Tucson, Ariz.; 19 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, St. John; burial at 3 p.m. Saturday at Holy Cross Cemetery, Windthorst.

Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Friday at Minnis Chapel, St. John. A rosary vigil service will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to St. John the Apostle Catholic Church or St. Joseph Catholic School of Ellinwood, in care of Minnis Chapel.
