Phillip Nelson Clark

Phillip Nelson Clark, 83, Jefferson City, Mo., died Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at Audrain Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 4, 1928, in Bogue to Charles Nelson and Maude Ethel Searl Clark. He was a 1946 graduate of St. John Military School, Salina, and attended Kansas State University.
He married Elizabeth Ann Kraxberger on Dec. 26, 1948, in Stover, Mo. He worked for Hughes Aircraft in Fullerton, Calif., owned and operated Gramco Electronics Shop, Hill City, and worked on his family farm, Clark Farm, Bogue. He was a lieutenant colonel with the U.S. Air Force as a C-124 pilot for 21 years during the Vietnam and Korean wars.
He was a board member for the Graham County Hospital, Hill City, and helped to supervise the addition of a new emergency room department. He was a member of Retired Officers Association and National Rifle Association.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, Allen Clark and wife, Sandra, Applegate, Ore., and Douglas Clark and wife, Debra, San Diego; a daughter, Pamela Dollard and wife, Patrick, Cincinnati; a sister, Phyllis Maier, Independence, Mo.; and five grandchildren, Karl Dollard and wife, Erika, Bradley Dollard, Jeffrey Dollard, Elizabeth Clark and Ian Clark.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Bogue United Methodist Church.
