Philomine Marie Lowe

Philomine Marie Lowe, 94, Topeka, died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012.

She was born June 18, 1917, in Hays to Jacob and Anna Befort Brull. She attended secretarial school in Topeka.

She married John "Augie" Lowe on Nov. 27, 1941. He preceded her in death Oct. 2, 2010. She was an executive secretary for more than 30 years, working for many in the Legislature as well as the Kansas Judicial Council. She was well-known throughout the Kansas State House. She was a Republican precinct committeewoman for many years.

She was a member of the Woman's Club and enjoyed line dancing and going to casinos. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons, Jon Lowe and wife, Susan, Shawnee Mission, and Marc Lowe and wife, Dee, Topeka; two brothers, Elmer Brull, Pearland, Texas, and Bill Brull, Salina; three grandchildren, Lindsey Kaminski and husband, Jeff, Brooke Lowe and Mallory Lowe; and two great-grandchildren, Sadie and Hayden August Kaminski.

She was preceded in death by seven brothers, Ralph, Dick, Gabe, John, Julius, Tony and Bob; and four sisters, Bea, Bernadine, Mary Ann and Martina.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Christ the King Church; burial in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the church.

A rosary will be at 8 p.m. Thursday at the church.
