Ralph W. Hunt Jr., 94, Hays, died Tuesday, May, 6, 2008, at The Lutheran Home, WaKeeney.

He was born Nov. 19, 1913, in Carthage, Mo., to Ralph W. Hunt Sr. and Pearl (Land). He was a 1931 graduate of Carthage High School.

He married Emma Lou Kollenburn on April 1, 1932, in Carthage. She preceded him in death Sept. 1, 1992. He later married Lydia Billinger Hunt on Sept. 9, 1998, in Hays. He was a U.S. postal carrier for 35 years.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; a daughter, Peggy Sue Mai, Utica; two step-daughters, Bernadette Billinger, Centerville, Colo., and Bernadine Lyon, Salina; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two grandsons and a great-granddaughter.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Schmitt Funeral Home; burial in Arnold Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m.Thursday at the funeral home.
