Regina Leiker, 93, longtime Hays resident, died Friday, June 22, 2012, at her son's home in Munjor.

She was born March 8, 1919, in Liebenthal to John H. and Margaret (Kuhn) Kreutzer.

She married Henry S. Leiker on May 3, 1938, in Munjor. He preceded her in death Feb. 4, 2002. She was a farmer's wife and a homemaker.

She was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella, Perpetual Adorers, Hays and Christian Mothers of St. Francis Church, Munjor.

Survivors include three sons, John H. Leiker and wife, JoAnn, Arvada, Colo., Alan H. Leiker and wife, Janet, Hays, and Mark H. Leiker and wife, Dora, Munjor; three daughters, DeAnn Schmidt and husband, Adolph, Hays, Ella Mueggenberg and husband, Louis, Carroll, Iowa, and Jane Leiker, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Daniel H. Leiker; her brothers, Paul, Richard, Leo, Cyrene, Brother Francis, Otto, and Martin Kreutzer; her sisters, Monica Wolf, Sister Margaret Kreutzer; and an infant sister, Cecilia Kreutzer.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1800 Milner, Hays; burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hays.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, both at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 20th and Pine.

A Perpetual Adorers rosary will be at 4 p.m., a combined Daughters of Isabella rosary and Christian Mothers rosary at 6 p.m.; followed by a vigil at 6:30 p.m. Monday, all at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the Building Fund at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, St. Thomas More Society at Thomas More Prep-Marian High School, or Hospice of Hays Medical Center, in care of the funeral home.
