Rev. Russell J. Gotschall

The Rev. Russell J. Gotschall, 93, Concordia, died Saturday, April 13, 2013, at Cloud County Health Center, Concordia.

He was born Dec. 22, 1919, in Franklin, Ill., to Fred and Faye (Izzeta) Gotschall.

He attended seminary at Southern Methodist University's Perkins School of Theology. He was ordained a Methodist minister in 1954 and preached his final sermon in 2010.

Survivors include his children, Elisha Woodall, Bruce Gotschall, DeAnn Raab, Bea Gotschall and Cindie Maddock; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Eula "Cindie" (Eubanks) Gotschall, in 2012.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church, Concordia. Cremation will follow the service. Inurnment will be at a later date.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Nutter Mortuary Chapel, Concordia, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to First United Methodist Church, Concordia.
