Richard D. Richter, 80, Timken, died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009, at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, Wichita.

He was born Oct. 9, 1929, in La Crosse to Edward and Stella (Ubelaker) Richter.

He was a farmer.

Survivors include his companion, Lavange Shiroky, Wilson; a son, Scott Richter, Great Bend; a daughter, Vicky Morrison, Albert; four grandchildren; and two great-granchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Roger Richter.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Sunday at Janousek Funeral Home, La Crosse.

Memorials are suggested to American Diabetes Association in care of the funeral home.
