Richard N. Pinkston, 81 Monument, died Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice Center, Wichita.
He was born Sept. 3, 1930, in Radium to Oscar "OC" and Clara (Richards) Pinkston.
He married Rosalee Beckman on Sept. 15, 1954, in Oakley. He was a retired farmer. He was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran, serving during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Wichita; a son, Rick Pinkston, Alexandria, Va.; two daughters, Deborah Moretz, Lenior, N.C., and Rhonda Barley, Wichita; a sister, Norma Plummer, Winona; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Kenny Pinkston.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Oakley Christian Church; burial in Oakley Cemetery with military honors.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home, Oakley.
Memorials are suggested to Logan County Hunter Safety Program in care of the funeral home.
