Richard T. Colling

Richard T. Colling, 81, McCook, Neb., died Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008, at Hillcrest Nursing Home, McCook.

He was born April 15, 1927, in McCook to Bernard and Helen (Kennedy) Colling. He attended country schools.

He married Alfreda Ritter on Nov. 22, 1955, in Leoville. He was employed by Burlington Northern Railroad in the signal department.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; a brother, Joe Colling, McCook; and two sisters, Catherine Blume, McCook, and Bernadine Ritter, Russell.

He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Colling.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, McCook; burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Leoville.

Visitation will be until 8 p.m. today at Pauls Funeral Home, Oberlin, and from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the church.

A vigil will be at 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Richard T. Colling Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
