Richard V. Hunt, 85, died Wednesday, March 6, 2013, in Sun City, Ariz.

He was born June 21, 1927, in Scott City to Giles V. and Ada Samantha Hunt. He was a 1945 graduate of Hays High School and Wichita State University after being in the service.

He worked for Cessna and later moved to Phoenix in 1958 and entered the real estate business. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Survivors include a niece, Judy Beard and husband, Bill; and two nephews, Grady and Brad Beard.

He was preceded in death by a brother, G. Wayne Hunt.

He was buried in Phoenix next to his brother.
