Robert Leiker, 88, formerly of Victoria, died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013, at Hays Medical Center.

He was born April 8, 1925, in Victoria to Pius and Anna (Sander) Leiker.

He married Velma (Robben) on Nov. 29, 1958, in Hays. He was a farmer.

He was a member of St. Fidelis Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus, both of Victoria.

Survivors include his wife, Hays; a son, Steve Leiker and wife, Sue, Kansas City, Kan.; three sisters, Acquina Rajewski and husband, Howard, Vincent, Theresa Haselhorst, Hays, and Mary Ellen Schmidtberger and husband, Dan, Hill City; a brother-in-law, George Gatschet, Hays; three sisters-in-law, Ada Leiker, Great Bend, Janice Leiker, Ellis, and Ann Leiker, Hays; three grandchildren, Courtney Maloney (Shawn), Olathe, Chris Leiker (Autumn), Hays, and Brianna Leiker, Lawrence; two step-grandchildren, Jackie Schumacher (Chandler) and Taylor Leiker (Sara), both of Hays; and five great-grandchildren, Shane Maloney, Blake Stieben, Giana and Mia Schumacher, and Jarett Leiker.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Gilbert, Elmer, Neon and Laurian Leiker; and four sisters, Luella Dreiling, Armella Wasinger-Thompson, Rosaline Wiesner and Ethel Gatschet.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Fidelis Catholic Church, Victoria; burial in St. Fidelis Cemetery, Victoria.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday, both at the mortuary.

A vigil and Daughters of Isabella rosary will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday, and a Knights of Columbus rosary will be at 7 p.m., all at Cline's Mortuary of Hays, 1919 E. 22nd, Hays, KS 67601.

Memorials are suggested to St. Fidelis Catholic Church, Victoria.
