Robert W. Christians, 82, died Saturday, May 31, 2014.

He was born Feb. 12, 1932, in Waldo to Antone B. and Alma (Schwerdtfeger) Christians.

He married Bernita Dell Cochran on July 24, 1955, in Luray. Survivors include four sons, Victor and wife, Julia, Hutchinson, Craig and wife, Juanita, Derby, Mitch, Salina, and Joel and wife, Sue, Wichita; a brother, Dale, Austin Texas; 12 grandchildren, Cole and wife, Jenny, Benny, Samuel, Rachael, Geovanny, Justin and wife, Sandie, Austin and wife, Staci, Dylan, Crystal, Ashley, Ryan and Sara; and seven great-grandchildren.

No services are planned. The family intends a private gathering; burial of ashes will be in Fort Hays Memorial Garden, Hays.

Memorials are suggested to First United Methodist Church, Hays.

Ryan Mortuary, Salina, is in charge of arrangements.
