Leona Rohleder, 94, Hays, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at the Hays Good Samaritan Society.
She was born June 18, 1918, in Emmeram to Joseph and Elizabeth (Hoffman) Kuhn.
She married Otto Rohleder on Nov. 15, 1938, in Emmeram. He preceded her in death July 24, 1985. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church,
She enjoyed gardening, an avid fan of Kansas City Royals baseball and enjoyed playing cards and bingo.
Survivors include four sons, Leon Rohleder, Hays, Norman Rohleder and wife, Vera, Russell, Paul Rohleder and wife, Jackie, Salina, and Kenneth Rohleder and wife, Shirley, Plainville; three daughters, Arlene Brungardt, Hays, Mary Brungardt and husband, Jerry, Victoria, and Rose Ann Rohleder, Wichita; a brother, Francis Kuhn and wife, Mary Jane, Victoria,; a sister, Martina Bieker, Hays; 22 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and a great-great- granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Joan Clara Rohleder; a son-in-law Irvin Brungardt; a great-granddaughter, Lindsay Renee Miller; eight brothers; and six sisters.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church; burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, both at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1906 Pine.
A vigil will be at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to Hays Good Samaritan Society or St. Joseph Cemetery, in care of the funeral home.
