Ronald 'Ronnie' Lloyd Copp

Ronald "Ronnie" Lloyd Copp, 71, Colleyville, Texas, formerly of Wichita and Dallas, died Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009.

He was born July 10, 1938, in Ellis to Lidwina and Lucas Copp. He was a 1956 graduate of Gorham High School.

He was a warehouse manager for 20 years for IMI Cornelius Inc. and retired in December 2002.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the post-Korean war on the DMZ from 1958 to 1959.

Survivors include four brothers, Leroy Copp and wife, Rita, and Dennis Copp and wife, Pamela, all of Wichita, James Copp and wife, Nadyne, Beloit, and Michael Copp, McPherson; three sisters, Judith Dinges and husband, Bill, Silver Springs, M.D., Diane Copp, Alamo, Calif., and Mary Copp, Nickerson; 18 nieces and nephews; and 16 great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 31 years, Rita; and two sisters, Carolyn and Jeannette.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 1000 Tinker Road, Colleyville.

Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society, 3301 W. Freeway, Fort Worth, TX 76107, in memory of his wife, Rita, or to the Good Shepherd Catholic Community Development Project, 1000 Tinker Road in Colleyville, 76034.
