Ronnie D. “Red” Morel, 70, Palco, died Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at Hays Medical Center.

He was born Nov. 9, 1943, in San Diego to Elmer Eugene and Marie Nelda (Bouchey) Morel.

Survivors include two daughters, Rachelle Eichman and husband, Bryant, and Ashley Morel and Stephen Desaire, all of Palco; his mother, Palco; two sisters, Jackie Rohleder and husband, Paul, Salina, and Michelle Iannone and husband, Tony, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Damar; burial in St. Ann Cemetery, Zurich.

Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Friday at Plumer-Overlease Funeral Home, Plainville, and from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church.

A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to Webster Lake and State Park in care of the funeral home.
