Rose Ann (Werth) Sipes, 75, Ellis, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at Clara Barton Hospital, Hoisington.

She was born May 3, 1937, in rural Schoenchen to August and Dorothy (Werth) Werth. She was a 1955 graduate of Schoenchen High School.

She was an assembly line worker at Adronics, Hays.

She was a loving and devoted grandmother and enjoyed spending time at the farm, especially during calving season.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Ellis.

Survivors include a daughter, Beverly Gunther and husband, Paul, Sachse, Texas; a brother, Gus Werth, Schoenchen; a sister, Freda Fisher, Ellis; four grandchildren, Augustus Kortemeier, Annie, Averie and Aubrie Gunther, all of Sachse; and her companion, Gene Mater, Olmitz.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Michael Sipes; a daughter, Deborah Schneider; a granddaughter, Alicia Schneider; a brother, Fred Werth; and two sisters, Gladys Braun and Alice Werth.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Schoenchen; burial in St. Anthony Cemetery, Schoenchen.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 to 9:30 a.m., both at Brock's North Hill Chapel, 2509 Vine, Hays, KS 67601.

A vigil will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to St. Anthony Cemetery Fund or St. Anthony Church Fund in care of the funeral home.
