Hermina "Minnie" Roth, 86, died Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010, at Hays Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 17, 1924, in Victoria, to Alphonse and Clara (Graf) Schmidtberger.
She married Cecil J. Roth on Jan. 9, 1947, in Victoria. He preceded her in death Sept. 14, 2007. She was a homemaker, farmer, seamstress at Myrna's in Victoria and worked at Baxter Labs in Hays. She lived on the farm at Loretto and moved to Victoria in 1980.
She was a member of St. Fidelis Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella and Christian Mothers, all of Victoria.
Survivors include three sons, Cecil C. Roth and wife, Linda, Greensboro, Ga.; Harold F. Roth and wife, Beverly, Overland Park, and Terry J. Roth and wife, Laurie, Hays; a daughter, Donna M. Gartin and husband, Spencer; two brothers, Robert Schmidtberger, Victoria, and Marvin Schmidtberger, Pratt; six sisters, Mary Schmidtberger, Victoria, Hubertine Schultz, Tina Foos and Rosie Leiker, all of Hutchinson, Sister Vivian Schmidtberger, Fond Du Lac, Wis., and Edna Ptacek, Minneapolis; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, Mike Schmidtberger and Linus Schmidtberger, a sister, Angie Schmidtberger, and two grandchildren, Sage Gartin and Sabrina Gartin.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Fidelis Catholic Church, Victoria; burial in St. Fidelis Cemetery, Victoria.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Saturday, both at Clines Mortuary, 412 Main, Victoria, KS 67671. A sisters of St. Agnes and Associates prayer service will be at 5 p.m. today at the mortuary.
A vigil will be at 7 p.m. today and a Daughters of Isabella with Christian Mothers rosary at 7:30 p.m., both at the mortuary. Condolences can be sent via e-mail to clinesmortuary@eaglecom.net.
