Russell Lee Pope, 49, Hoxie, died Friday, June 20, 2014, at Sheridan County Health Complex, Hoxie.

He was born Sept. 20, 1964, in Oberlin to Robert and Sharon (Greenberg) Pope.

He married Linda Lynette (Weis) Pope on May 5, 1984, in Leoville.

Survivors include his wife, of the home in Hoxie; three sons, Christopher Pope and Cody Pope, both of Hoxie, and Mitchell Pope, Manhattan; a daughter, Megan Felder, Hays; his father, Grinnell; his mother, Mankato; two sisters, Kari Murray, Mankato, and Lisa Winter, Topeka; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lawrence "Bud" Pope.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Christ Community, Hoxie; burial in Leoville Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with family present from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Mickey-Leopold Funeral Home, Hoxie.

Memorials are suggested to Russell Lee Pope Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
