Ruth E. Regester, 91, Russell, died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013, at Russell Regional Hospital.

She was born March 28, 1922, in Cheyenne, Wyo., to Earl and Anna (Dove) Call.

She married Gene Regester on Sept. 16, 1960. He preceded her in death Aug. 26, 2001. She placed inserts for the Russell newspaper.

Survivors include a son, Kenneth LeRoy Mohn, Russell; two daughters, Marilyn Heckman, Topeka, and Earline Brazel, Kansas City, Kan.; five stepchildren, Judy Weisner, Shawnee, Ron Regester, Carbindale, Doug Regester, Manhattan, and Nancy Stringer and Dawn Brewer, both of Salina; 23 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded by a son, Chuck Flowers; a grandson; and a granddaughter.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, Russell; burial in Russell City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with family present from 6 to 7 p.m. at the mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to Assembly of God Church in care of the mortuary.
