Ruth Marie Hunter, 69, Ness City, died Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at Hays Medical Center.

She was born Dec. 29, 1942, in Osborne to William and Luella (Griswald) McDaniel.

She married Byron Hunter on June 9, 1959, in Plainville. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Ness City; a daughter, Mary Jo Kelly, Ness City; a brother, Tommy McDaniel, Natoma; three sisters, Roberta Hashenberger, Hays, Twila Hashenberger and Lucille Irwin, both of Plainville; a grandchild; three great-grandchildren; a stepgrandchild; and two step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two infant sons; and a step-grandson.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Stinemetz Funeral Home, Hill City; private family burial.

There will be no visitation.
