Scharlene F. Dreher, 72, Hays, died Thursday, Aug. 17, 2012, at Rush County Nursing Home, La Crosse.

She married Irvin Dreher on Nov. 10, 1956, in Plainville. She was a nurse for 23 years, mostly at HaysMed.

She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella.

Survivors include her husband, Irvin, Hays; a son, Neal Dreher and wife, Trica, Hays; three daughters, Mary Kinderknecht, Ellis, Sharon Biles and husband, John, DeSoto, and Debbie Clark and husband, Eldon, Minneapolis; two sisters, Pearl MaCatee, Oregon, and Julia White, California; 10 grandchildren, Christy Mergen and husband, Chris, Matt Kinderknecht, Adam Kinderknecht and wife, Ashley, Josh Biles, Jeremey Biles, Stephanie Owens, Blake Dreher, Michaela Dreher, Morgan Johnson and Alex Johnson; and a niece, Vicky Crenshaw and husband, Rick, Fairfax, Okla.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Ollie, Troy and Tommy Stumbaugh; and three sisters, Ruth Robinette, Lil Haines and Violet NcAbier.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Hays; burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Monday, both at Brock's North Hill Chapel, 2509 Vine, Hays, KS 67601.

A Daughters of Isabella rosary will be at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, followed by a vigil at 7 p.m., both at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Holy Family Elementary or Thomas More Prep-Marian High School in care of the funeral home.
