Seraphine Dreher, 90, Hays, died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, at Good Samaritan Center, Hays.

He was born April 2, 1923, in Schoenchen to Martin and Julia (Krannawitter) Dreher. He grew up and attended school in Schoenchen.

He married Velma Pfannenstiel on May 12, 1947, in Schoenchen. He was a herdsmen at Fort Hays State University farm and then a groundskeeper at Lewis Field for a total of 40 years. He retired in 1987.

He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.

He enjoyed camping, motor-home traveling and saying the daily rosary, which was important to him.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; a daughter, Charlene Weigel and husband, Bernie, Hays; a son-in-law, Robert Denning, Hasy; a sister, Elizabeth Legleiter, Hays; four grandchildren, Dale Weigel and wife, Christa, Justin Weigel, Christine Denning and Robert Denning Jr. and wife, Renae; and three great-grandchildren, Haley Rees, Allyson Denning and Brooke Denning.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Twila J. Denning; five brothers, Theobold, Wendelin, Frank, Sylvester and Sylvanus Dreher; two sisters, Mathilda Braun and Mary Rose Legleiter; and an infant sister.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 18th and Vine, Hays; burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hays.

Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, both at Cline's Mortuary of Hays, 1919 E. 22nd, Hays, KS 67601.

A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in care of the mortuary.
