Shane Paul Gottschalk, 21, Hays, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, Neb.

He was born Feb. 25, 1991, in Hays to Gregg and Patricia (Wooster) Gottschalk. He was a 2009 graduate of Thomas More Prep-Marian High School and was attending college at Fort Hays State University.

He was an active person, working for Wagoner Construction, FHSU gym and the Hays Recreation Commission gym.

He enjoyed riding his Harley, working out and spending time with Macy's family at the farm.

Survivors include his parents; his fiance, Macy Ziegler, Collyer; a sister, Shayla Gottschalk, Hays; and his grandparents, Dorothy and Cecil Gottschalk, Hays, and Paul Wooster and wife, Lynne, Great Bend.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Betty Wooster.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays; burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Friday at the church.

A vigil will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to TMP Alumni Association, Fort Hays State University or the hematology/oncology department at University of Nebraska Medical Center in care of Dr. Bierman, 986780 U.N.M.C., Omaha, NE 68198-7680.
