Skyler Allen Jones, 22, McCracken, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, in McCracken.

He was born June 11, 1990, in Hays to Richard and Rose (Rolo) Jones. He was a lifetime resident of McCracken and was a 2008 graduate of La Crosse High School.

He was a cook at Grisell Memorial Hospital, Ransom.

He was a member of Boy Scouts Troop No. 7147.

Survivors include a daughter, Jessica Lynn Hecker-Jones; his parents, McCracken; a sister, Sierra Jones, Ellis; his grandparents, John and Ann Chandley, Arlington, Texas; his grandmother, Donna Rolo, Ness City; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by two grandfathers, Willie Rolo and Jim Jones; an aunt, Joni Rolo; and a cousin, Josh Stieben.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at United Methodist Church, Ness City; burial in McCracken Cemetery.

Visitation will be until 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with family greeting friends from 6 to 8 p.m., both at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City.

Memorials are suggested to Jessica Lynn Hecker-Jones Education Fund in care of the funeral home.
