Teresa Fay Schafer, 57, Dodge City, formerly of Jetmore, died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014, at her home.

She was born April 25, 1957, in Hays to Elmer and Shirley Mae (Doty) Sarver. She was a graduate of Plainville High School.

She was the owner and operator of Hair Etc. in Dodge City. She treated her employees as family and would bring clients to her shop who were unable to drive. She was a caring person and enjoyed playing computer games.

She attended First Christian Church in Dodge City.

Survivors include a son, Scott Werner and wife, Sabra, Spearville; a daughter, Mandy Giess and husband, Tracer, Hays; her mother, Plainville; a brother, Mike Sarver, Plainville; six grandchildren, Hannah Giess, Trayden Giess, Porter Giess, Travis Werner, Wyatt Heinz and Blake Werner; and her dog, Izzy.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First Christian Church, Dodge City; graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Mount Allen Cemetery, Hays.

Friends can call until 8 p.m. Thursday at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City.

Memorials are suggested to Teresa Schafer Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
