Terry Lynn Adams, 61, Liberal, died Saturday, March 9, 2013, at University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, Neb.
He was born Oct. 25, 1951, in Quinter to Harold Vernon and Elda Eileene (Holmes) Adams. He was a 1969 graduate of Hoxie High School, attended Garden City Community College and later received a bachelor of arts degree in education from the University of Kansas. He earned his master's degree in educational administration from Wichita State University and additional district certification from Pittsburg State University.
He married Vicki L. Kollmeyer on Aug. 2, 1980, in Denver. He taught and coached high school football at Hoxie, WaKeeney, and Pratt-Skyline and retired from Liberal in 2011.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, Andrew Christopher Adams and Matthew Aaron Adams, both of Liberal; a daughter, Bethany Lynn Adams, Liberal; three brothers, Eldon Adams, Lompoc, Calif., Edward Adams, Humboldt, and David Adams, Bentonville, Ark.; and a sister, Sheryl Kaufman, Wichita.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church; burial in Liberal Cemetery.
Visitation will be until 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m., both at Brenneman Funeral Home, Liberal.
Memorials are suggested to Terry L. Adams Memorial Fund or Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in care of funeral home.
