Theodore W. “Ted” Klim, 89, died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, in Grand Junction, Colo.

He was born March 13, 1923, in Nutley, N.J., to Adam and Francis Klim.

He married Mary Ann Westhusin on Feb. 23, 1946, in Los Angeles. She preceded him in death. He later married Katherine Tisdall on Feb. 14, 1980, in Plainville. She preceded him in death. He later married Viola Basgall on March 2, 1984, in Hays. She preceded him in death. He was a farmer.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays, the American Legion, the Knights of Columbus, and the Veteran of Foreign Wars  No. 9076, Hays.

Survivors include a son, Charles Klim, Winslow, Ark.; a daughter, Elizabeth Pope, Grand Junction; a stepson, Jim Basgall and wife, Jean, Olathe; six grandchildren, Clifford Klim and wife, Nicole, Fayetteville, Ark., Cody Klim, Hogeye, Ark., Charles Klim Jr., Fayetteville, Shawna Oakes and husband, Tony, Fruita, Colo., Van Bomgardner, Grand Junction, and Christopher Pope and wife, Sumer, Fruita; three step-grandchildren, Jody Basgall, Boulder, Colo., and partner, Lance Locke, Leawood, Jason Basgall, Boulder, and Jill Sulser and husband, Bryan, Denver; five great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Plainville; inurnment in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Plainville, with military rites by VFW Reeder-Dinkel-Westhusin Post No. 8871, Plainville.

There will be no visitation.

Memorials are suggested to Sacred Heart Catholic School.
