Theophil 'Ted' Quint

Theophil "Ted" Quint, 79, Quinter, died Thursday, April 11, 2013, at Gove County Medical Center Long-Term Care.

He was born August 19, 1933, in Rush County to Anton and Bertha (Holzmeister) Quint.

He married Margaret Mitchell in July of 1953. They later divorced.

Survivors include sons, Ted Quint Jr. and wife, Micki, Hays, and Ron Quint and wife, Flo, Quinter; daughters, Barbara Mader, Hoxie, and Laura Kesler and husband, Gary, Quinter; brother Fred Quint and wife, Kay, Pueblo, Colo.; and sisters Carol Backer and husband, Bill, Torrance, Calif., Alverna Kopsky, Hot Springs, S.D., and Julie Rome and husband, Leonard, Lakewood, Colo.; 16 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother, Alfred; brothers Harold (Mert) and Melvin Quint; and sister, Delores Stegman.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Collyer.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday with vigil services at 7 p.m. at Schmitt Funeral Home, Quinter.

Interment at St. Michael's Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to Gove County Medical Center Long-Term Care.
