Thomas M. Keenan, 83, Great Bend, died Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at Kansas Heart Hospital, Wichita.

He was born Nov. 14, 1930, in Great Bend to Frank James and Hazel C. (Wood) Keenan. He was a 1961 graduate of Fort Hays State College with a bachelor of science degree in industrial arts.

He married Betty (Walters) Clark on Nov. 26, 1993, in Great Bend. He was an industrial arts teacher at Great Bend High School from 1962 to 1967. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son, Greg Keenan, McPherson; three daughters, Tambra E. Thorson, Mission, Carolyn K. Boxberger, McPherson, and Beverly Nobraga, Overland Park; a stepson, Steve Clark, Fort Lupton, Colo.; a stepdaughter, Suzanne Kelley, Lake Charles, La.; a brother, Francis J. "Red" Keenan, Osage Beach, Mo.; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Terry Keenan.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Great Bend; burial in Great Bend Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Bryant Funeral Home, Great Bend.

A vigil with a Knights of Columbus rosary will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Holy Family School in care of the funeral home.
