Tina Marie (Wasinger) Rumley, 40, Phoenix, formerly of Hays, died Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, at her apartment in Phoenix.
She was born June 11, 1973, in Hays to Thomas L. Wasinger and Nita Linden. She was a 1991 graduate of Hays High School.
She married Chris Rumley and lived in Colorado Springs, Colo. She was a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Phoenix for 10 years and moved to Arizona in 2000. She worked as a finish carpenter in the Phoenix area. She was a bus driver for Hays USD 489 for two years. While living in Hays, she was a worship singer at Joy Fellowship Church.
She enjoyed woodworking, singing, poetry, traveling, her family and friends.
Survivors include a daughter, Kailyn Heath, Phoenix; her father, Thomas L. Wasinger and wife, Marlene, Hays; her mother, Nita Pirnie and husband, Bob, Oshkosh, Neb.; two brothers, Jim Wasinger and wife, April, Urbana, Ohio, and Joe Wasinger and wife, Megan, Hays; a half-sister, Angie Taylor, Orlando, Fla.; her grandparents, Jim and Clara (Fry) Linden, Sterling; a step-grandmother, Isabella Schuckman, La Crosse; four nephews, Justin Wasinger, Joshua Wasinger, Dodge Wasinger and Gavin Wasinger; a niece, Emma Wasinger; Kailyn's father, Shawn Heath, Phoenix; and many cousins, uncles, aunts and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mike and Georgine (Windholz) Wasinger; her step-grandfather, Edwin I. Schuckman; and two nieces, Brittany Wasinger and Courtney Stroud.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Westview Church, 3000 W. 41st, Hays, KS 67601; burial in Mount Allen Cemetery, Hays.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Cline's Mortuary of Hays, 1919 E. 22nd, Hays, KS 67601, and from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to Tina Marie Rumley Memorial in care of the mortuary.
