Truman Lee McFann

Truman Lee "T.L." McFann, 77, Claflin, died Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at Hutchinson Hospital.

He was born Sept. 21, 1930, in Virgil to Leo Leslie and Bertha (Proehl) McFann.

He was a meter technician for K-N Energy Gas Co., Pawnee Rock. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Army Signal Corp.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Claflin.

Survivors include a special friend, Doris Smith, Claflin; four sons, Dean McFann, Scott City, Clay McFann and Glen McFann, both of Rozel, and Hoyt McFann, Great Bend; three daughters, Marcia Bouker and Susan Brown, both of Hays and Julie Lange, Baraboo, Wis.; 16 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Rachel Kerschner.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Claflin Cemetery, with military rites by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 7428 and American Legion Post No. 248.

Guests can sign the book until 8 p.m. today at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, Hoisington.

A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to United Methodist Church or the donor's choice in care of the funeral home.
