Vernita R. Napue Cruder, 83, Hill City, formerly of Lincoln, Neb., died Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010, at Hays Medical Center.

She was born Jan. 6, 1927, in rural Graham County to Halbert and Verna Ophelia (Williams) Napue Herman.

She married Ernest Vernon Cruder on Sept. 22, 1948, in Lincoln. He preceded her in death Nov. 6, 1971. She was a Nebraska state motor vehicle department clerk.

Survivors include two daughters, Verna Mae Woods, Tampa, Fla., and Debra Ann Blucher, Miami Gardens, Fla.; a brother, Leatrice Napue, Lincoln; a sister, Yvonne Sayers, Nicodemus; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at Stinemetz Funeral Home, Hill City; burial in Nicodemus Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.
