Vernita R. Napue Cruder, 83, Hill City, formerly of Lincoln, Neb., died Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010, at Hays Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 6, 1927, in rural Graham County to Halbert Herman and Verna Ophelia (Williams) Napue.
She married Ernest Vernon Cruder on Sept. 22, 1948, in Lincoln. He preceded her in death Nov. 6, 1971. She was a Nebraska state motor vehicle department clerk.
Survivors include two daughters, Verna Mae Woods, Tampa, Fla., and Debra Ann Blucher, Miami Gardens, Fla.; a brother, Leatrice Napue, Lincoln; a sister, Yvonne Sayers, Nicodemus; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services were Sunday at Stinemetz Funeral Home, Hill City; burial in Nicodemus Cemetery.
