Vernon Roy Rathbun

Vernon Roy Rathbun, 93, Lincoln, died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014, at his home.

He was born Oct. 29, 1920, in rural Lincoln County to Arthur Vernon and Lydia (Crawford) Rathbun.

Survivors include three sons, Roy Rathbun and wife, Cheryl, Ellis, Randy Rathbun and wife, Barbara, Barnard, and Rod Rathbun and wife, Shelia, Newton; two sisters, Roberta Lebien, Hutchinson, and Bonnie Feeney, Abilene; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Madonna Mastellar Rathbun; a brother, Richard; and a sister, Darlene Hendrickson.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hall Chapel, Lincoln; inurnment in Union Valley Cemetery with military honors.

Memorials are suggested to Barnard Community Building in care of the funeral home.
