Victor Marcotte, 90, Hays, formerly of Zurich, died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, at St. John's Nursing Home, Hays.

He was born March 24, 1919, in Loveland, Colo., to John and Rosa (Balthazor) Marcotte.

He married Josephine Bedore on Sept. 17, 1946, in Zurich. She preceded him in death April 21, 2000. He was an oilfield pumper. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during World War II.

Survivors include a son, David Marcotte, Leoti; a daughter, Vicki Marcotte, Hays; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, James.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Plainville; burial in St. Ann Cemetery, Zurich, with military honors by Reeder-Dinkel-Westhusin Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 8871.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, both at the Moore-Overlease Funeral Chapel, Plainville.

A Ladies Guild rosary will be at 3 p.m. Friday.

A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Friday, followed by a Knights of Columbus rosary, all at the funeral chapel.

Memorials are suggested to Sacred Heart School in care of the funeral home.
