Virgil D. Beougher, 79, Ellsworth, died Monday, March 4, 2013, at his home.

He was born May 3, 1933, in Gove County to Gael and Mary (Sutcliffe) Beougher.

He married Connie Bruning on May 22, 1987, in Ellsworth. While living in Ellsworth since 1969, he was a retired district conservationist for the Soil Conservation Service where he worked 38 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Ellsworth.

Survivors include his wife, Ellsworth; two sons, Duane Beougher, St. Louis, and Darrel Beougher, Dighton; two daughters, Debra Beougher, Wellington, and Diane Beougher, Yoder; three brothers, Kenneth Beougher, Bird City, John Beougher and wife, Mary, Pierre, S.D., and Max Beougher and wife, Dee, Englewood, Colo.; two sisters, Opal Zimmerman and husband, Fabien, Quinter, and Donna Spath and husband, Charles, Grand Junction, Colo.; four grandchildren, Stacy, Danielle, Mathieu and Renee; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church, Ellsworth; burial in Ellsworth Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth.

Memorials are suggested to the church or Boy Scouts of Ellsworth in care of the funeral home.
