Virginia 'Jeannie' Flax

Virginia "Jeannie" Flax, 60, WaKeeney, died Sunday, July 14, 2013, at her home.

She was born Dec. 9, 1952, in Ransom to Rudolph Sr. and Regina (Augustine) Flax. She was a 1970 graduate of Ransom High School.

She was a certified nursing assistant and emergency medical technician through Home Health.

Survivors include two brothers, Adolph Flax, WaKeeney, and Robert Flax, Salina; and a sister, Dorothy Jacobs, Hays.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Christ the King Catholic Church, WaKeeney; burial will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Ransom.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, with a vigil following, both at Schmitt Funeral Home, WaKeeney.

Memorials are suggested to Sisters of St. Joseph, St. Aloysius Cemetery Fund or Christ the King Building Fund in care of the funeral home.
