Walter E. Keating, 96, who devoted nearly 40 years of his life to Fort Hays State University as a student, faculty member and administrator, died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, at Cherry Creek Retirement Village, Aurora, Colo.
He was vice president of administration and finance from 1946 until retirement in 1981.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, Hays; inurnment for Mr. and Mrs. Keating will be in Mount Allen Cemetery, Hays.
