Walter Harold Metz, 80, Hanover, formerly of Hays and Russell, died Friday, Aug. 24, 2012, at Hanover Hospital.
He was born April 2, 1932, in Kansas City, Kan., to William and Priscilla Quinn Metz. He graduated from Argentine High School, Kansas City.
He married Judy Darlene Wayt on June 14, 1969. He was a millwright at Procter and Gambles for 41 years.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Metz, Hanover; and a son, Father David Metz, Hanover.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Catholic Church; burial in St. John Cemetery, Hanover.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday at Hanover Mortuary.
A rosary will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
