Wanda (Hockersmith) (Gillespie) Wildeman

Wanda (Hockersmith) (Gillispie) Wildeman, 83, Quinter, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, at Gove County Medical Center Long Term Care, Quinter.

She was born Dec. 29, 1928, south of Gove to Chris and Nora (Evans) Hockersmith.

She married Nelson Gillespie in 1948. He preceded her in death in 1968. She later married Dan Wildeman in 1968. He preceded her in death May 24, 2001.

Survivors include a son, Alvin Gillespie, Winfield; two stepsons, Francis Wildeman, Grainfield, and Vern Wildeman, Los Angeles; two daughters, Bonnie Cooksey, Lynchburg, Va., and Sheila Angell, Burns, Ore.; a stepdaughter, Annuncita Weber, Park; a sister, Wilma Doxon, Quinter; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a stepson, Pius Wildeman.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Grainfield; burial in Gove City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Schmitt Funeral Home, Quinter.

A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Grainfield Opera House in care of the funeral home.
